Bichon Frise is an adorable dog breed with amazing qualities. Due to their small size, these dogs are loved to keep in the house.

Life Span

The life span of Bichon is around 12 years.

Body Size

Bichon is small dog that weighs only 5-10 KGs. The height is only 10-11 inches maximum.

Features

They don’t have pointed features. The face is round and the muzzle is also bit flat. The ears are also dropped and wholly covered with hair. Nose is round and black that appears like a button on the face. The eyes of these dogs are also black and round.

The most interesting feature of this small dog is its tail. The tail is curled upwards from the base and the long hairs hang around the back beautifully.

Colors

Bichon's identity is solid white color with minor hints of cream or gray color around ears, neck, paws.

Coat

The inner coat of these dogs is soft and silky yet dense. Outer coat could vary in texture from being straight, slightly wavy to curly.  They need regular grooming to keep the hair from mat.

Temperament

Bichon Frise dogs are just like small kids. They seek attention of their owner and want to be at their side all the time. They are incredible lovely and keep the owners happy with their sweet actions. They are no different from any other big dog, as they love to play and sit in lap of their owners and demand love. They love to socialize and are not shy.

They can be accompanied with other pets but it should be made sure by the owners that they are taking proper care of these little dogs by giving all the attention and love to them.

This dog goes well with kids, but if they are mistreated then this could lead to bit reservations. Being small, it should be kept safe from any accidents. They should be kept indoors with no options of running around neighborhood.

They love to bark which could be a problem sometimes. They are alert dogs and can be watch dogs.

Activity level of these small dogs is low so they are happy indoors if they are loved and cuddled.
